Cong. Kinzinger says protecting country from default takes priority

news@ottawaradio.net
Washington, DC -- Cong. Adam Kinzinger says the fight to protect Americans from higher premiums and reduced coverage under the new health insurance law will continue another day. The Channahon Republican says it was more important last night to protect the country from defaulting on its debts.
He says hurting the already fragile economy and hurting millions of Americans struggling to make ends meet isn’t the best way to dismantle a law that’s crumbling in front of everyone’s eyes.
The new borrowing authority only lasts a few months though. The country, already $17 trillion in debt, is likely to reach the new debt ceiling in less than six months.
