Edward Lewis Pearson, 83, of Ottawa, died Tuesday October 8, 2013, at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013, in the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. Ray Guthrie, of St. Patrick Church , Seneca,  officiating.   Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Utica. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Edward was born on November 24, 1929 in Utica, to Lloyd Howard and Loretta (Lewis) Pearson. He attended St. Bede Academy. Edward married Katherine Louise Young on October at St. Columba Church.
He was a U. S. States Army veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Japan. He received the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.  He retired from Libbey-Owens-Ford where he worked from 1949 to 1986. He was a member of St. Columba Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine, 4 sons, Stephen (Laura) Pearson, of Wheaton, Howard (Brenda) Pearson, of Yucipa, CA, James Pearson, of Ottawa and John (Christina) Pearson, of Plainfield, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Dorothy Jane Crane and Charlotte Woodward and 2 brothers, Ronald and Howard Pearson.
Pallbearers will be his four sons, Ronald Woodward and Paul Pearson.
Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
