Ona Ryg, 92, formerly of Ottawa died Sunday morning, February 24, at Gibson City Annex Extended Care
Facility in Gibson City.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, in the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with the Rev. David Davies, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, officiating.  Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
 
Mrs. Ryg was born on August 31, 1920, in Brookfield Twp, to Alvin and Lela (Swader) Hepner.  She was employed at the Seneca Shipyard during World War II.  She married Kermet M. Ryg, on April 27, 1946, in Marseilles.
 
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa.
 
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela (Charles) Aubry, of Gibson City, two sons,  Gaylon Ryg, of Dwight, and Martin Ryg, of Schaumburg, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Kermet, on March 5, 1986, 2 sisters, Marcella Peddicord and Lois Nodland, and 4 brothers, Burdette, Adrian, Wayne, and Roger Hepner.
 
Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church.
 
Pallbearers will be:  Kyle, Kent, and Matt Aubry, Merlin Nodland, Steve Robles, and Eoghan Murphy.
