Utica, IL -- A tire that had rolled into the westbound lane of Interstate 80 near the Utica exit is what caused traffic to be stopped for a while Monday afternoon.
33 year old Gelzinis Povilas of Arlington Heights swerved his semi-truck to avoid the incoming tire.
The tire came from the semi-truck of 45 year old David L. Pearson of Summerfield, Florida.
Povilas’ truck came to a stop on the interstate and was blocking both lanes of traffic.
No injuries were reported and no tickets were written.
