Several barges collided with the Marseilles Dam during last April’s flood and now only six of the eight gates are working. That means Marseilles is at a greater risk of flooding again. Police Chief Jim Hovious held a flood plan meeting last night where he explained some of the new procedures that have been put in place to protect residents should another flood occur.
