Grobe was a lyric tenor who sang at the Deutsch Oper in Berlin for 26 years.

In the 1990s, the Ottawa City Council raised and lowered the number of liquor licenses one at a time every time there was a request for a new one or an old one got turned in. Council members these days don’t think that’s an efficient way of handling things.
