Ottawa, Ill. -- LaSalle County Clerk JoAnn Carretto says she figured out why True The Vote thinks there are too many registered voters here. Somebody mixed up some numbers.
     Carretto says Lake County, where a lot more people live, got mixed up with LaSalle County in a federal database. So it looked like more than 460,000 people registered to vote in a county with less than 120,000 people.
    
     Carretto says the federal database has been corrected.
She’ll send a letter explaining it to the Houston based watchdog group.
