Ottawa, Ill. -- An Ottawa High School graduate has earned high marks from First Lady Michelle Obama. Nathan Wangler and two other people designed a smart phone app that recognizes healthy foods when kids take pictures of them. Then the players earn upgrades to their game characters.
OHS Assistant Principal Jeff DeWalt says the First Lady judged the entries at the Building a Healthier Future Summit in Washington, DC two weeks ago.
The app is called Jungo. Wangler designed the app as a student at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy.
