Ottawa, Ill. -- A lot of ash trees infested with the emerald ash borer will be removed from Ottawa city property this year. City Hall is taking bids for the first round of tree removal until next Thursday. City Engineer Dave Noble says trees in the worst condition will be cut down and chipped.
Some of the city’s trees will be treated.
Private property owners must make their own arrangements to treat or remove their own infested ash trees.
