Theresa (Bayuk) Bohler, 85, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Ottawa.
Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will be buried in Calvary Cemetery.
Theresa was born September 10, 1927 in Ottawa, Illinois to Mathias and Katherine (Simonich) Bayuk. She was a 1945 graduate of St. Xavier Academy. She married Joseph A. Bohler Sr. October 16, 1948 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. He passed away May 30, 1977. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Pleasant View. She was a member of Holy Family Society in Joliet.
She is survived by three daughters, Peggy Pool of Ransom, Kathryn Smith of Itasca and Mary Ann (Steven) Johnson of Ottawa; two sons, Joseph (Barb) Bohler Jr. of Ottawa and John (Debbie) Bohler of Ottawa; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; special cousin, Vernie Williams of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; two sisters; and her son-in-law, Jerry Pool.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Craig and Eric Pool, Peter and Ryan Bohler, Steven Johnson, and Scott Burgwald.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Loughridge and Steve Johnson.
