Elsie Mills Beenenga, 85, of Earlville, died Sunday August 18, 2013, at LaSalle County Nursing Home.  Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with the Rev. Paul Bladen, pastor,  of Deer Park Community Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa.  Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
 
Mrs. Beenenga was born on August 3, 1928, in Fount, Kentucky, to William and Susan (Cobb) Jones. She married Joe Beenenga on December 8, 1986 in Ottawa.  She loved drawing and sketching, sewing, and quilting.  Elsie was an avid gardener.  She was dearly loved and will be missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
 
She is survived by her first husband, and the father of her children, Ed Mills, 4 daughters,  Dora Faye (Luther) Messer, Jr.,  of Earlville, Millie Mills, of Malta, Carolyn Mills, of Joliet and Bonnie (Tim) Albert, of Utica, 5 sons, Herman (Sue) Mills, of St. Meinrad, IN, Carl (Mary) Mills, of Sandwich, Leon (Sally) Mills, of Austin, TX, Robert (Nancy) Mills, of Compton and Ed Mills, Jr., of Mendota, 17 grandchildren; Margaret (Jim) Vezain, Janet (David) Billings, Mandi Mills, Jay (Lisa) Mills, Nicole Mills, David (April) Mills, Jeff (Deziree) Mills and Grace Mills, Jen (Jay) Ketchum, Sam Grey, David (Stacy) Grey, Brandy (Brandon) Nierhoff, Robert (Jennifer) Mills, Josh Childs,  Jessica Hampton, Heather (Casey) Cobler, and Sarah (Jason) Richards, and 11 great grandchildren, including; Ashley Vezain, Sydney Mills, Karson Mills, Nolan Ketchum, Payton, Chase, Zane and Charlize Grey and Kai Walter.
 
She was preceded in death by her second, husband Joe Beenenga in 1990, and her long-time companion, Richard Turek on Nov. 9, 2011;  three sisters, Nan Smith, Bell Smith, and Louise Smith;  and five brothers Reed Jones, Jim Jones, Green Jones William Jones, Jr., and Sam Jones.
 
Pallbearers will be:  EdMills, Jr., Robert Mills, Josh Childs, Tim Albert, Luther Messer, Jr. and Jim Vezain.
 
The family wants to thank the staff of LaSalle County Nursing Home and Vitas Hospice for the love and care of their mother and grandmother.
