Cong. Kinzinger makes case for action against Syria
Washington, DC -- Cong. Adam Kinzinger admits he’s war weary, but he agrees with Pres. Barack Obama for wanting military action against Syrian Pres. Bashar al-Assad.
During a House Foreign Affairs Committee meeting carried on C-SPAN Wednesday, Sec. of State John Kerry agreed.
Letting people know he’s not completely on Obama’s side, Kinzinger started his comments with criticism that the president hasn’t shown good leadership in the Middle East. Kinzinger says that’s why Obama isn’t able to get an international consensus behind him now.
A lot of people who don't want action against Syria are recalling how Iraq supposedly had weapons of mass destruction, and such weapons weren’t found. They’re also saying America should stay out, because nobody in Syria is on America’s side anyway.
