Ameren offering electric bill help to non-profits

news@ottawaradio.net
Undated -- Financially struggling non-profit organizations that pay Ameren for their electricity can ask the utility company for help paying their bills. Spokeswoman Stacey Shangraw says any 501c3 in Ameren’s territory could apply if it can show a financial need.

The applications are available online or by asking for them over the telephone. Ameren will weigh each case and decide how much each organization gets.
A maximum of $2,000 will be applied to a non-profits electric bill.
