OES passes another deficit budget

Ottawa, IL. -- The Ottawa Elementary School Board passed another deficit budget for fiscal year 2014.
The budget showed revenue of $22.5 million, but Superintendent Cleve Threadgill says the two hospitals in Ottawa will be getting $387,000 of that money.
He says he got the news last week.
The budget passed last night shows revenue of $22.2 million and expenditures of $24.8 million, leaving the district about $2.6 million in the red.
Threadgill says they’ll take money out of the working cash fund to cover the deficit.
