Josephine D. “Josie” Viviani, 102, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday September 1, 2013 at Pleasant View.
          Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 4 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marseilles with Father Gabriel Msoka officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.  Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is handling the arrangements.
          She was born July 14, 1911 in Ottawa to Steve and Mary (Shlahta) Hohos.  In 1929, she married Dominic “Sparky” Viviani of Marseilles who preceded her in death in 1975.
          She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, its Altar and Rosary Society and the Marseilles Women’s Club, Homemaker’s Extension, was past president of Royal Neighbors of America, was a CHO volunteer; and was also a member of AARP and Golden Era.
Sue is survived by one daughter, Gloria Anne Robinson of Marseilles; four grandchildren, Jerry (Donna) Varland of Mt. Sinai, NY, Judy (Mark) Limsky of Forney, TX, Nancy (Charles) Swanson of Magnolia, TX and Henry Varland of Pontiac; twelve great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
          She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, Mary Kollar; one brother, Harry Burke and an infant grandson.
