Special needs students move into remodeled home classroom
Ottawa, Ill. -- Ottawa High School special needs students ages 18 to 21 are in a new classroom in a house on Shabbona St. Supt. Matt Winchester says remodeling, so disabled students can get around in it, is done.
The school could use some kitchen utensils and other supplies to stock the house with though. Winchester says donations are welcome, but please call the school first to make sure you’re offering something that’s still needed. A cash donation can work, because sometimes the students learn to go shopping.
