OHS library has e-book collection now

news@ottawaradio.net
Ottawa, Ill. -- The Ottawa High School library is starting an e-book collection. Head librarian Dan Heaver says the school could get thousands of books to lend to teachers and students with many kinds of electronic devices.
That doesn’t mean everything available in e-book form will be obtained that way though. Some cost a lot more in electronic form than the printed versions.

Heaver told the school board this past week, if the school district goes to a different e-book system, it has a good chance of keeping most of the e-books. He says the school is buying rights to the books and not just access.
