OTTAWA, Ill. – Michael Donovan pitched a four-hit shutout to lead Ottawa past Sterling 5-0.

The lefthander struck out six and walked two to improve to 3-1 on the season. John Carroll drove in two runs with a fourth-inning single, and Nick Quick plated two runs with a single in the fifth.

Ottawa (9-13, 6-6 NIB12) visits Sterling Tuesday.

Marquette 11, Henry-Senachwine 0 (5 innings)
HENRY, Ill. – Marquette slugged its way out of a recent slump to beat Henry-Senachwine 11-0 in five innings.

Jel and Trystin Raikes combined to drive in five runs for the Crusaders (25-6, 9-1 TCC), who snapped a three-game skid with the victory. Jel was 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and Trystin finished 1-for-3 with 2 RBIs.

Bryce Hinkelman tallied a pair of hits and two RBIs, and Patrick Killelea picked up two hits with an RBI as well. Dalton Morris fanned nine batters and allowed the Mallards just two hits.

Marquette hosts Henry-Senachwine Tuesday.
