Tuesday prep softball roundup

Marquette 15, Henry-Senachwine 1
HENRY, Ill. – Marquette stretched its winning streak to 10 games and reached the 20-win mark Tuesday with a 15-1 rout of Henry-Senachwine.

The Lady Crusaders (20-10, 9-2 TCC) got hits from 11 different players. Madelyn Thompson finished with three RBIs to give her 38 on the season, and Cate Thompson followed her sister with two RBIs of her own. Kat Dyche was the winning pitcher.

Marquette visits Hinckley-Big Rock Wednesday.

Seneca 13, Sandwich 6
SENECA, Ill. – Paige Hacker finished a home run away from the cycle, powering Seneca past Sandwich 13-6.

Hacker drove in two runs to complement her three hits, and Sarah Radtke collected three hits and an RBI for the Lady Irish (19-14, 7-8 INT8).

Rachel Sangston earned the win for Seneca, allowing four runs (one earned) over si x innings while allowing five hits. Hannah Sutherland was the hard-luck loser for Sandwich, allowing all 13 runs but just two earned runs as errors piled up behind her.

Gabi Lopresti finished 3-for-4 and scored three runs for Sandwich (7-17, 4-11 INT8). Courtney Murphy was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Seneca visits Wilmington on Friday.

Somonauk 7, Indian Creek 1
SHABBONA, Ill. -- Somonauk made it back-to-back Little Ten titles with a 7-1 win over Indian Creek.

Nicole Krupp had a monster day for the Lady Bobcats (17-4, 14-0 LTC), going 3-for-3 with four RBIs while earning the win in the pitching circle. She allowed just one run on a hit and three walks, striking out eight in another dominant performance.

Mackenzie Jackson finished 1-for-4 with two RBIs for Somonauk. The Lady Bobcats host Newark on Wednesday.
