The 13 year winning streak for the Ottawa Township High School music department is on the line beginning Saturday.
The high school is hosting the Illinois High School Association’s first half of the annual Music Sweepstakes.
Solo and ensemble musicians from 24 schools will be at the high school in over 1,000 different events.
Ottawa High School Choir Director Roger Amm says he believes his students are ready.
The first half of the music sweepstakes will take place Saturday from 8 until 4:30 on the 300, 800, and 800 floors at Ottawa High School.
The second half of the music sweepstakes will take place in April at Morris High School, where large bands and choirs will compete.
