Washington, DC -- Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson (D-Crete) says New York Congressman Charlie Rangel should step aside from the chairman’s job on the House Ways and Means Committee. That’s after the House Ethics Committee found that Rangel violated a House rule against accepting corporate sponsored travel. Halvorson says Congress needs to focus on creating jobs, fixing health care, and turning the economy around and it doesn’t need the distractions surrounding Rangel right now.
