Oglesby, IL -- The scene at the Illinois Valley Community College cafeteria looked more like the aftermath of a food fight than a series of car races.
But, those that were there earlier during the IVCC Edible Car contest got to see the latest in edible automotives in action.
The fastest car belonged to the Plan B group of Luke Maltas, Janet Hunt, Doug Donaway, and Douglas Goulding for their rolling cucumber with rice wheels.
But the best overall car belonged to the car that placed third in the speed category.
The breadstick car with spaghetti axels was built by Bryan Cole, Natalie Nelson, and Jennilea Gentry.
60 students took part in the annual contest, which was designed to get people interested in engineering.
