LaSalle County, IL -- The Alcohol Countermeasure Patrol for the Illinois State Police was out and about in February.
4 tickets were given to people last month for allegedly driving drunk.
2 tickets were written for illegal transportation of alcohol while one underage person got a ticket for the state’s zero tolerance law.
11 other arrests were made that were related to drugs and alcohol.
Illinois State Police are also reporting that February was a busy month for people not wearing their seatbelts.
Their Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrol says it gave out 53 tickets to people not wearing their seat belt or having kids properly restrained.
21 written warnings were also given to motorists.
State police have these patrols to prevent accident deaths that might have been prevented if people wore their seatbelt.
The patrols are funded through state and federal grants.
