Springfield, IL (Metro Networks) -- State Senator Bill Brady has clinched the GOP nomination for governor.
Executive Director of the Illinois State Board of Elections Dan White confirmed the final vote totals Friday morning for the February 2nd primary.
Brady's opponent, fellow State Senator Kirk Dillard officially conceded the race hours after the final vote count was certified. Dillard says he will support Brady's attempt to win the governor's mansion.
Brady now faces the Democratic incumbent, Governor Pat Quinn in the November general election.
Grand Ridge School Registration will be held Tuesday, August 3rd from 9am until 2pm and 5pm until 7pm and again on Wednesday, August 4th from 9am until noon. You will need to bring proof of residency which can be a real estate tax bill, utility bill, drivers' license or voter's card. Classes begin August 23rd.
On August 21st the Ottawa River Rescue Squad and Pine Hills Golf Course will be sponsoring their 1st Annual Golf Outing. All proceeds raised from the outing will be used to update equipment and facilities and to continue high quality training to members who will be able to better serve the community.
