Ottawa, IL -- Next Saturday, 150 to 200 people are going to walk into Jeremiah Joe’s in Ottawa and will willingly get their head shaved.
That’s because of the annual St. Baldrick’s head shaving fundraiser.
Volunteer Events Coordinator Rita Chovan says the event is designed to raise awareness for children’s cancer.
And it’s back this year because past years have been successful.
The money goes to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, who then distribute it to organizations that deal with child cancer.
Donations can be made at Jeremiah Joe’s next Saturday or online at S T Baldricks dot org.
And of course, you can also get your head shaved from 10 until 2 next Saturday to show support for children with cancer.
