Ottawa -- Ottawa police are watching the crowds at Riverfest to make sure the alcohol stays where it’s supposed to and away from those who aren’t supposed to have it. Police Chief Brian Zeilmann says the wristband system is being used again. Those who intend to buy beer must show ID and get a wristband to show they’ve already proven their age.
People who look too young may be carded again. That’s because of younger people who might snag wristbands that get thrown away.
