LaSalle County -- LaSalle County is prepared in case something bad happens at LaSalle Station.
That’s the word from David Warren, who oversaw an exercise that local agencies, including Ottawa Radio, took part in.
The exercise scenario simulated various radioactive containment equipment failures at LaSalle Station.
Warren says his preliminary report of the exercise indicates that everything went very smoothly.
It was the first trial run of the new LaSalle County Emergency Operations Center.
County EMA Director Mike Jobst says everything went well there too.
LaSalle Station and the surrounding emergency organizations go through similar exercises every two years.
